cel i think origins matter; but it might work okay to have interlinked mirrors, if there is a cultural practice (?) of moving between them, in the absense of mirroring of the non-git content (issues/PRs) (and/or content embedded in git not readable by the hosts/UIs/forges, e.g. with git-bug), rather than defaulting to one while others languish
