Loqi [manton.org] Dave Winer blogging about a new commenting system to connect blogs. I’ve been following his recent work on FeedLand and related projects, so curious how the plumbing for this is going to work:... (https://www.manton.org/2025/11/25/dave-winer-blogging-about-a.html)

[tantek] [manton] like the comment on your post, curious what's behind it beyond webmentions for blog to blog comments

#
[manton] [tantek] Yeah, I’m curious too. Feels very Webmention-y.
#
[tantek] I do think there's a certain ergonomic / UX barrier in having to "go" to your own blog to comment rather than being able to comment right there and have it write your own blog instead of a "local comment"
#
[tantek] I think some films have explored boomarklets for that

[tantek] What is webaction toolbar
#
Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "webaction toolbar" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "webaction toolbar is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[tantek] Huh. Pretty sure Barnaby wrote an add-on that did this
#
[tantek] So you could comment while looking at a post
#
[manton] Yes, I think I remember that (or a similar browser extension).

Loqi [@brittcoxon] I made a new blog post and since I still haven't sorted out fedi-ing my blog or putting some kind of auto posting together I'm telling you about it manually. Like the old days.... (https://mastodon.art/@brittcoxon/115612542453242777)

[tantek] what is Web Action Hero Toolbelt
#
Loqi A web action is the interface and user experience of taking a specific discrete action, across the web, from one site to another site or application, like a cross-site follow button, or a reply button on a post, which when activated, allows you to reply using your own site instead of the site you are viewing https://indieweb.org/Web_Action_Hero_Toolbelt

Loqi If your entire internet life happens inside TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, or Twitter, you’re simply mall-walking, and malls are fine: predictable, climate-controlled, food courts and chain stores on every corner, but don’t mistake the mall for the city. The city is... (https://web.brid.gy/r/https://gerben.dev/notes/789c5638a56941f852eb1cedda9ec412)

Loqi [@lee] I've been enjoying the simplicity of my bearblog, but am torn on whether to keep it, replicate it back into Kirby, or with an eye on the future recreate in maybe 11ty or Astro. Too much choice. #Bearblog #IndieWeb #Note https://l.prry.uk/next-previous-steps/ (https://prry.uk/@lee/115612868528799995)
