Loqi [@ratika] This was one of my most favorite reads (listens?) of the year. Highly recommended! https://chavanniclass.wordpress.com/2025/12/02/goodnight-tokyo-atsuhiro-yoshida/ #books #reading #fiction #japan #audiobooks #literature #tokyo #BookReview #translation #blog #blogging #IndieWeb (https://scicomm.xyz/@ratika/115650378750868833)

Loqi [@daemonlogger] The Tree of Life is a symbolic blueprint of consciousness — ten nodes, twenty-two paths — a kind of ancient ‘architecture of being’ long before we talked about systems or networks.... (https://mastodon.social/@daemonlogger/115650498087107927)

Loqi [manton.org] I spent some time reviewing various Mastodon drama from over a year ago that I thought contributed to Eugen Rochko eventually stepping away from a leadership role in the project. In Eugen’s announcement post:... (https://www.manton.org/2025/12/02/mastodon-ceo-change-reset.html)

[tantek] Do we need a hot tea emoji for such posts or at least intros? 🍵

[tantek] [manton] ++ good post. The folks descending into bad behaviors due to a sense of righteousness is very much a thing :/

[manton] [tantek] Thank you. Yeah, I’ve noticed it more and more this year.
#
[tantek] I feel the tone was set for this in Mastodon when the mob there harassed and bullied Wil Wheaton into leaving. Remember that in the early Masto days?

Loqi [@lee] I've tested deployment on my 11ty build. I need to complete my battle with image plugin, install feeds, and maybe reinstate section styling before switchover - https://test-lprry.statichost.eu #BuildInPublic #Eleventy #IndieWeb #Note https://l.prry.uk/eleventy-rebuild/ (https://prry.uk/@lee/115651357948658227)

[tantek] What is Google Antigravity?
#
Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "Google Antigravity" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Google Antigravity is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[tantek] Google Antigravity is one way of accidentally deleting your local hard drive. https://www.reddit.com/r/google_antigravity/comments/1p82or6/google_antigravity_just_deleted_the_contents_of/
#
Loqi ok
#
gRegor wow
#
[tantek] yeah figured that deserved a page to warn people since deleting your local hard drive is anti-indieweb
#
gRegor Love when the first time I hear of a thing, it's because it did something awful XD
#
gRegor I'd expect it to at least yeet your hd off the planet instead ;)

[tantek] yeah I'm kinda done with overhyped bullshit that's harming users/independents. like one strike and you get a harsh / snarkinition wiki page that will hopefully get up there in Google results for anyone searching for it.
#
[manton] [tantek] Good point about Wil Wheaton, I had almost forgotten about that. That was really early too.
#
[tantek] super early
#
[tantek] I have a bunch of bookmarks somewhere on this, Internet Archive links etc. because so much of that crap got deleted, servers shutdown in general Masto churn
#
[tantek] I have not forgiven the bullies that pushed Wil Wheaton off Masto
#
[tantek] It was not ok
