Loqi [@fractalkitty] The 2025 solstice-to-solstice experiment is complete and summarized! I could have made this prettier and interactive and ..., but I need to be done and feel like I got the overview I wanted, which was kinda the point of the summary. (there is some css that might get tweaked... (https://mathstodon.xyz/@fractalkitty/115761612334902814)

Loqi [@hollie] I’m kinda fascinated by Ghost (the blogging platform) and its ability to sync with Mastodon. Has anyone tried it for this purpose? Do you like how it works?... (https://social.coop/@hollie/115761666200839112)

[manton] I reviewed that Wil Wheaton stuff from 2018. I wonder how that would’ve been handled today.

Loqi [@pheonix] It's December 22nd. Shipping is over. If you're pivoting to homemade gifts (jams, cookies, infused spirits), don't let the presentation kill the vibe.... (https://hachyderm.io/@pheonix/115764133710040665)

[tantek] Always been a fan of Wil. He absolutely not deserve that and yeah if someone like him can be bullied off then 99% of people are similarly vulnerable. So it's a cultural / architectural problem that these systems enable

[tantek] Or bring out and amplify the worst in people who are themselves hurting for various reasons. Or feel they must perform bullying to "fit in" or be accepted by their social circle.
#
[tantek] Whatever the human failings at the root, the technology absolutely amplified and enabled the aggregate bad behavior so I judge the software/ UX for that
