ulhar4409 i would probably just find a way for my browser to ignore css if i don't want to look at CSS'd pages. pretty much any TUI web browser already does that

[artlung] Everyone's journey to stripping down to simpler websites is different. 🙂 I'm also remembering folks saying "I don't write any CSS, I _just_ import Bootstrap from a CDN"

[Al_Abut] I love the irony that the best way to read html pages with no css is on a phone, where the line length wraps nicely in a readable way.

[tantek] Yup all the complaints about CSS are overuse of CSS like trying to do fancy layouts etc or light gray text on a white background because it "looks cool" 🙄 like so many bad design trends should have died ages ago

[Al_Abut] Nah, bootstrap was a godsend back in the days of floated layouts. All you had to do to cut down on bloat and avoid the boxy look was to download and use just the grid, which was my playbook for many years.
