#[Rose]And while I like the idea of being my own instance, people are already following me elsewhere and migrating them is hard

#Ruxtonmy kingdom for a theme that has mad post-kind support :(
#[Rose]!tell [chrisaldrich] I worked around said setup failure! Downloaded 3.2.6, did the auth, then updated. Thank you to the random person with the same problem in the WP support forum (I posted on the GitHub issues page)
#GWGStill hitting a wall on design of the new webmentions
#[jgmac1106]gwg what does a major rewrite of this magnitude get you?
#[jgmac1106]should we wait and scope out the project and see if you can get a team on it between Berlin and Summit...that sounds like a ton of work for one person
#GWGjgmac1106, it isn't the first time I have done this
#GWGTrying to merge Webmentions and Semantic Linkbacks in a good way
#GWGSo, I started with the migration code, but realized that was a big PR
#GWGSo, I parked that and switched to upgrading the code that retrieves the source content for processing
#GWGThe idea being that building the integrated design and then layering on the types of mentions would work better
#GWGThe webmention spec mentions microformats, but the plugin has no microformats processing
#GWGSo, the retrieval code does a head request to check content type and response code. It fails automatically if the source is a media file...but it doesn't, as the spec now suggests, use per media type rules
#GWGSo I want to switch the verification methodology to be more robust as part of this first phase
#GWGWhich allows, as microformats parsing will be done at that stage now, due integration, changes the code
#GWGThanks to something I did in WordPress core, pingbacks passes the remote source content both raw and processed along..we added that to webmentions as well. But it can be passing the parsed version

#[jgmac1106]what is the name of the old links manager plugin [chrisaldrich] uses?
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "name of the old links manager plugin [chrisaldrich] uses" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "name of the old links manager plugin [chrisaldrich] uses is ____", a sentence describing the term)
