Bogie1Hey. I'm new to the indyweb and wordpress. Just set up my site over the weekend. Anyone around that may be able to answer a question about using Brid.gy and Wordpress to retweet something with comment?

[Rose]I remember now. My idea would be everything either in a very specific location (e.g. wonderful muffins coffee shop), or a more general version (e.g. everything in Berlin).
[jeffpaul]GWG: I may be mis-reading your work on this, but it’s possible the code that finds closest locales in WP Admin’s dashboard for the WordPress Events and News widget may be useful to repurpose for what you’re building?
chrisaldrichGWG, it doesn't necessarily seem like a simple thing to pull off. Is there prior art for Dodgeball, FourSquare, or others having done it before?
LoqiA geofence is a virtual geographic boundary that either triggers or limits actions, information, or granularity thereof when crossing it, like Aaron Parecki’s pulsing blue dot feature https://indieweb.org/geofencing
chrisaldrichGoogle maps does have lists of locations that they'll show on maps. They have defaults like "favorites", "starred places", "want to go", and the ability to add custom location bookmarks.
