# [Joe_Crawford] WordFence carping about these indieweb plugins. Anyone involved with their development here? They were recommended to me. Likely just some SVN commits to up the compatibility rating (presuming they still are, which, they’re working for me). Would be useful to have them not appear abandoned.

# [Michael_Beckwit what aspect is WordFence complaining about?
# [Joe_Crawford] It’s the fact that they lack both a recent update and a certification as to version compatibility.
# [Joe_Crawford] Medium severity issue. Not a deal breaker, a warning is a warning. Current WP version is 5.3.2.
# [Michael_Beckwit gotcha, not end of world things, but some amount of flag
# [Joe_Crawford] Updating at the SVN level is what’s needed. Is your plugin in the blessed WP plugin store?

# chrisaldrich I just got a spam email offering "A complete WordPress site for $399". I don't think their idea of "complete" is quite the same as mine. :)
# [Michael_Beckwit they’d install Divi theme for you and make you configure it afterwards
# [Michael_Beckwit charge you for the license, probably install yoast seo just out of curtesy
# [Michael_Beckwit you two being myself an Chris? cause I don’t actively use it at the moment
# [Michael_Beckwit i can answer as best i can regardless 😄

# [Michael_Beckwit i haven’t used that at all, so I don’t have any feedback
# chrisaldrich Sorry away for a phone conf. GWG. There's a timezone picker in Post Kinds?
# chrisaldrich I really need to update apparently.... I know of the one that
# chrisaldrich 's thrown in to the publishing meta box, but I thought that was simple location doing it.
# chrisaldrich I mostly appreciate that Post Kinds sucks that data in when available.
# chrisaldrich I keep meaning to go in and write some code to actually display it in reply contexts as I think it's important (especially for things I'm interacting with that are more than a week or so old or for people reading posts significantly after-the-fact)
# chrisaldrich I sometimes will fill in rough dates/times manually, but i don't frequently ever bother with the offset portions...
# chrisaldrich I doubt I'd use much of it beyond a particular date, so the time offset, while nice, is more than I'd show typically.
# chrisaldrich I suppose if I could get more granular with times and I could actually trust them on the other end I might be more inclined to use them, but they aren't mission critical there.
# chrisaldrich I do have an itch for doing start/stop times for checkins and media checkins so that I could indicate when I started or stopped doing an activity.
# chrisaldrich GWG, I'm curious what you're thinking you'd like it to do that it doesn't currently?

# chrisaldrich Typically when I use anything past dates, I have to go into view the source of a page and that almost always list GMT offsets, so for me, from a usability standpoint, copying what's in another's code is already easier.
# chrisaldrich If Parse This didn't find a date/time, it's harder for me to guess the timezone of the target and then set my own and cross calculate, so I think it's actually easier as it is now.
# chrisaldrich I know tantek has suggested simply using UTC in the past.
# chrisaldrich What is Z?
# Loqi Z is a suffix used on a time string to indicate that it is in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), a common technique for the time setting on indieweb servers, and used by programmers to avoid problems dealing with timezones, especially in indieweb projects https://indieweb.org/Z
# chrisaldrich I think it's on that page.
# chrisaldrich I also suspect I'm in the minority in that I'm one of the few people who occasionally uses those date/time fields (manually).
# chrisaldrich I have to head out for a bit, but back in about 30 minutes...
