#Loqi[David Shanske] I just pushed the first set of improvements to Parse This to support JSON-LD. Parse This takes an incoming URL and converts it to mf2 or jf2. It is used by Post Kinds and by Yarns Microsub to handle this.
So, assuming the default arguments are set...
#bekouh oh. I may have overshared this. Is overshared a word? =)
#Loqibeko: [jgmac1106] left you a message 22 hours, 5 minutes ago: love to talk strategies of trying to get a WP site rebuilt with a site download without a database...seems manual only option for me

#takev[m]Are "child plugins" a thing? Like how you can modify a theme with a child theme, so your customizations don't get wiped out when a new version comes around.

#[KevinMarks]That one that has different metadata for every silo
#[KevinMarks]I think I have 2 different JSON-LD variants even
#GWG[KevinMarks]: I actually look for Microformats, and is there is no summary, content, or refs(this is jf2), it tries to parse the JSON-LD. If there isn't any, it falls to OGP and HTML tags
#gRegorLove[chrisaldrich], are you coming to WordCamp SD? Is that the one you're speaking at?
#gRegorLoveif so I might come for support / maybe an adjacent indieweb meetup
#[chrisaldrich]I applied to it. Haven't heard yet. The other was in Santa Clarita and they've just postponed it indefinitely for the Coronavirus.
#[chrisaldrich]I'll try to go to San Diego either way, so I'm up for an adjacent meetup.

#[Joe_Crawford][chrisaldrich] WC San Diego sent an email the other day saying they’ve been consulting on the issues and have decided they are a “go” - also in another communication they mentioned still reaching out to speakers.
#[Joe_Crawford](I got my tickets for WCSD last week)
#GWG[KevinMarks]: I added JSON-LD to get better authorship data on news articles
#[KevinMarks]I don't know tbh - g+ only wanted microdata, rather than JSON-LD, but it would fall back to ogp. I don't know how much microdata alone is in the wild
