GWG, you mentioned in #indieweb that there was a WP query string for Recently updated posts. I'm curious what it is? I don't think I've come across that before and it sounds like something one could have fun with.

[chrisaldrich]: Working on a rewrite, but..

?orderby=modified
#
GWG
?orderby=comment_count is also interesting

Yes, those are a lot of fun!

My article on Post Kinds is #5 for most comments on my site....
#
[chrisaldrich]
the ?orderby=modified on the end of one's URL could be very useful for updating old posts in one's "digital garden", which I see Tantek has mentioned in the main channel.

GWG, this makes me wonder: is there a way for me to easily add my own comments in my comment feed into my main feed? (This could especially be useful for doing a version of Tweetstorms on one's own website... but by adding additional comments onto a pre-existing root note.)
#
GWG
Not easily
#
GWG
Mixing posts and comments aren't easy. Two tables
#
[chrisaldrich]
That's what I figured would be the case...
#
[chrisaldrich]
On a tangential topic, I'm wondering if anyone in WordPress space has tinkered around with doing threaded tweetstorms from a root note and using brid.dy's code to trigger the post of subsequent tweets from one's comment section? I suspect it could be done, but would require proper mark up on the comments section.

can't say i have personally, and i have tweet replies that are getting significant for me traffic
#
[tw2113_Slack_]1
but i also lack a personal site permalink for the content too
#
[chrisaldrich]
I'm not sure I follow that last part [tw2113_Slack_], do you have an example?
#
[chrisaldrich]
wouldn't everything you post have a permalink???
#
[tw2113_Slack_]1
i still post through twitter.com 99% of the time
#
[tw2113_Slack_]1
or the official app
#
[tw2113_Slack_]1
i haven't gone that far in on twitter ownership

[chrisaldrich]: I could build what you want in theory
#
GWG
It would just be difficult for pagination

Just a question/idea for right now.... Not something worth building (yet). Having feed readers or social readers support for it would be the opposite question. It would be cool if a microsub reader could handle a case like that though.
#
GWG
You can just add the comment and the post feed to the reader and let it handle it

Just noticed that this is from an Autommatic Happiness engineer https://twitter.com/mdrockwell/status/1350963951920623618

Does anyone have any experience with the whole IndeWeb thing? It feels more complicated than it’s worth. https://indieweb.org/ https://mike.rockwell.mx/asides/450

we should help him out if possible.

he's also got microformats markup (though apparently duplicated) - is this indiewebify advice outdated now? https://indiewebify.me/validate-h-entry/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmike.rockwell.mx%2Fasides%2F450

[KevinMarks] I suspect that his theme is the standard (and somewhat broken) markup on most wordpress themes (especially for notes) out of the box. I have to imagine that he hasn't modified the theme at all. (It looks like the standard TwentyNineteen bundled theme btw.)

[chrisaldrich] could you add that orderedby trick / How To to the /recent_changes page?
#
[chrisaldrich]
tantek, will do. I added it onto the /update page, and somehow thought that /recent_changes was done as a redirect to that because I didn't open the link to check.

I just added a custom rewrite to add the query string, which makes it look nicer
