# [arush] @gwg Are you using Ownyourswarm, and if so are you getting a 500 internal server error when attempting to send check-ins automatically??
# [arush] @gwg OK, then it's not just me. Does this look similar to what you're getting? HTTP/1.1 100 Continue

# [arush] I should see if there's a wp-config constant to disable WordPress's site health feature because it's just about the most useless thing on the planet. 🙂
# [arush] Also, I've started the gardening process, and for the time being, it looks like the stuff that will be recoverable is eats, drinks, and notes. Reads not so much, because none of the contextual data like URLs names ETC. got included in the export. For now I'm redownloading archives from places like Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook ETC. and will re-import from there. I figure I'll treat this like you have to treat situations where there are
# [arush] tons of photos that need alt text: Break it up into chunks and go from there.
# [arush] @GWG OK. Also, re: yesterday's stuff about adding new features, scratch that unless you were already going to do it, because unless all the contextual data is there it wouldn't do a bit of good to bulk edit kind. Probably the only things I would keep from that are tweek the Quill thing or be able to add location/weather natively, whichever is easiest. Will donate cash if necessary since I'm making the request.

# [arush] @GWG hmmm. I'd wonder why WordPress is giving you so much trouble with the native issue, but these days I have no idea why it does what it does or why we're focusing on shiny new GUI stuff when quite frankly we've got enough technical debt to choke an elephant that we really should be spending time eliminating. 🙂
# [arush] BTW not sure if you've seen this but there's a new edition of Professional WordPress Plugin Development out I'm not that far into it but so far it looks like a significant rewrite.
# [arush] Re: JS validation, is it plain old JS or reliant on a library/framework?
# [arush] @GWG not sure I constitute a pro either, but I like the pro resources because they tend to be thorough. At least the good ones. And Pro Plugin Dev is a good one IMHO.

# [tw2113_Slack_] oh hey, my boss’ book
# [tw2113_Slack_] given that there’s 9 years difference between editions, it’s all significant rewrites
# [arush] Wow. Has it really been 9 years between editions?

# [tw2113_Slack_] i’m pretty sure i have the first edition around here somewhere, and the fun thing about web development books, is that they do, but don’t turn obsolete
# [tw2113_Slack_] they also turn into history books “How the web…was”
# [arush] Yeah I have the first and second editions floating around somewhere, and I agree that they do and don't become obselete.
# [arush] Shit. Looks like the Github Updater plugin is broken.
