#[echo]hey, i’m trying to install the IW plugins on my WPcom site, but i’m having trouble getting the rel=me stuff working. has that been tested with FSE?
#[echo]alternatively, is there a way for me to just insert `link` tags? that’s my preferred choice tbh
#[tw2113_Slack_]i have to suspect getting rel=me links on items generated from blocks may be interesting
#[echo]eh? like it’s still markup in the end. i’ve done a bunch of block dev work if that’s needed
#[snarfed][echo] agreed, rel=me is generally pretty simple, eg I did mine with a custom html widget
#[snarfed]post-level mf2 (generally theme) and webmentions (plugins) are probably the two most useful and interesting things to try out
#[echo]i think one of the nice things about the gutenberg editor is leveraging blocks for mf2 data
#[echo]i’m trying to validate my site now with the new FSE tools and it’s not quite working…. but also if we get PRs merged in the impact would be pretty big
#[echo]also i bet i could convince the Woo team to incorporate `h-product` if needed…
#[snarfed]yes! one big challenge we've had with WP is that mf2 is better added in themes, but that limits users to just a few themes. alternatively, there's a plugin or two that adds mf2, but they struggle to do it as well, so they're mostly abandoned
#[snarfed](I use the plugin, and I've had to hack in multiple features to get reasonable mf2)
#[echo]yeah the indieweb suggested plugin i installed is very confused by my site
#Loqi[reinhart1010] #36091 Built-in, optional support for microformats2?
#[snarfed]GWG what's the status of the indieweb bundle plugin? seems like we've gone back and forth in the past on whether it's recommended or not? if not, should we delete it so people like [echo] aren't confused?
