[chrisaldrich] reed, I suspect the plugin does that automatically for things like likes which don't really have permalinks or if you visited them, they wouldn't add much. additional context I think there was discussion on this for the semantic links plugin back in 2015/2016. You'll notice that for comments there's a permalink back to Twitter.
