tei_ Hello wordpress people! I recently installed wordpress as a subdirectory of my site and... I gotta say, I'm glad I learned how to make a site with html/css first because I am not a web developer at all but. now every time I do something I'm like wow... this is so easy...

tei_ I have some questions about whether I can do certain things--

tei_ a) I use tumblr to talk to some people, and I'd like to automatically import posts from there to save them (I guess "pesos" in the lingo??) wordpress has an automatic importer from tumblr that works well to import a whole blog once, but then if you want it to update with new posts it looks like you just have to run the whole importer again. I've found plenty of plugins that post to tumblr from wordpress, but not the other way around. is there a wa

tei_ b) I have a second site that's more a record of my professional activities, and while I don't want to have a specific "blog" page on it, I decided to use wordpress for the whole thing. I'd like to have a bunch of top-level (menu) pages, some of which link to static pages, but then I'd also like one to have chronological posts. However, I've been using the "posts" feature to post writing that I don't want listed chronologically, as well

[snarfed] tei_ tumblr blogs have RSS feeds, right? you could probably use a WP plugin that automatically imports posts from that RSS feed
