jeremycherfas Trouble syndicating from WP to Mastodon. I went to preview, before actually syndicating, and was surprised to see no content beyond the title or title and link. Contenet has a value (see https://php.microformats.io/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eatthispodcast.com%2F2023-09-02%2F). Is that not enough markup?

jeremycherfas And Bridgy preview shows Title and Subtitle only.

jeremycherfas My preference would be for Bridgy to send Title and first 500 chars or till the <!--more--> tag.

[jeremycherfas] I don’t quite understand. Although there is content, all that gets through to Bridgy if I don’t check Excerpt is Title and Subtitle ( which may be Name). Is there anything I can do with my theme to make more than that available to Bridgy?

GWG It isn't the theme anymore.

GWG I switched to Micropub from Webmention for Syndication to Bridgy, which means the plugin is interpreting the info and sending it to Bridgy...so, pros and cons there..more local control and works even if people's microformats aren't work.

[jeremycherfas] I would very much appreciate that. I am about to start a new season of my podcast and signed up to Mastodon with the aim of promoting it there. I would be pleased to do so by POSSE.
