gRegor Your feed is valid, that note about the namespace is just a recommendation. Shouldn't be keeping most feed readers from consuming it

gRegor Maybe you mean the sidebar? I see under "RSS Blog Feed" that widget isn't showing the "In the Quiet" post. That post is in the RSS feed itself, though, so might be something wrong with the widget. Do you have any more information about that widget, like if it's from a plugin? Might be more info under the Appearances menu, I think that's where widgets are.

gRegor The "Recent Posts" widget in the page footer is showing that post though, so comparing those two might help

valerieflynn Recreated the new RSS Feed widget while both plugins were off, and it worked. Turned them both on, checking after each one was on, but the new blog post stayed in the list. So, that somehow refreshed the widget/RSS feed connection. Jetpack seemed to not be the culprit.

valerieflynn So if I have the same issue with future blog posts I'll see if its one of those plugins.

valerieflynn Okay, so I tried to delete and recreate the RSS Feed widget several times, same issue. Started poking around Jetpack settings. Then it's AI gave me tech support. One of the things it told me was to deactivate the other plugins and leave Jetpack activated. So I did. There's only 2 other plug ins.

valerieflynn AgRegor, to answer your RSS widget question: the widget was in the Appearance section part of WordPress. It wasn't from a plugin itself. It was one of the widget options.

gRegor Glad it got sorted out! Yeah sometimes plugins interfere in odd ways and it can be tricky to figure out which one and how. My only other thought is if you have a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache or similar, try clearing the cache for that plugin.

gRegor Generally though, your feed appears fine and should be unrelated to the widget issue. The widget should be pulling from the database directly, not trying to read the RSS feed. Hopefully it just keeps working smoothly now :)
