good afternoon tommorris — great stuff!

tommorris
I'd written the code, but buggered it up as I was regexing the text of the link rather than the @href

I was working on importing all my old Diaspora content this morning, going to deploy the latest version of Taproot to my server this afternoon
#
tommorris

Anyone know how to pick up experimental mf2 classes using php-mf2?
#
sandeepshetty
stuff that's not in the spec yet?

sandeepshetty, Looks like you need to simply edit the array here: https://github.com/indieweb/php-mf2/blob/master/mf2/Parser.php#L709
#
sandeepshetty
Thanks. Don't see it getting used anywhere in the parser
#
sandeepshetty
sorry my bad..
#
sandeepshetty
was searching for it with the $
#
sandeepshetty
it looks like it's only getting used to convert from the older names
#
sandeepshetty
Garbee: it looks like it picks up everything with one of the prefixes by default
#
sandeepshetty
so as long as the experimental class is prefixed with u-, dt-, p-, h-, etc. it will pick it up.
#
Garbee
Can you link me to the experimental class that you're trying to use?
#
Garbee
Just got a demo of the parser going, I can create an example and try to see what is going on.

Garbee: I meant my question was resolved. It turns out that as long as the experimental classes I add use one of prefixes, I get them in the json.

ah ok sandeepshetty. Thanks.

Oh, that is what the $ was messing up for you.
#
Garbee
Ok, now I get what was going on.
#
Garbee
Loqi, Shut your mouth. I can read.

sandeepshetty, I personally think it is a good idea. It gives the links a deeper context.
#
sandeepshetty
Garbee: Would you be interested in implementing it and trying it out?
#
Garbee
I will once I start blogging more.
#
Garbee
Right now I'm kindof heavy in doing some docs for a system. Not much time for other writing for a few days.
#
sandeepshetty
Garbee: do you own a personal domain?
#
Garbee
Many.
#
Garbee
http://jonathan.garbee.me is my primary one and my 'blog'. Only one post though, and no other content at all atm.
#
Garbee
Still building the framework that runs it. :P
#
sandeepshetty
I've been there :)
#
Garbee
Yea, we should hit a closed beta on the framework by the end of the month at most.
#
Garbee
I'm pretty much the main person documenting it from a user perspective and heavily involved in developer docs outside of the reference material.
#
Garbee
Plus just building modules for it so it can serve many uses (including the blog itself.) Just too crazy to write.

I do have a few posts in mind that this kind of markup would come in handy for. So when I get around to writing them I'll drop it in.

#
Garbee
Me too, I need to write something outside of code for once. :P
#
Garbee
Or code-oriented things.
#
Garbee
Dude, if enough people used this kind of markup, we could actually generate conversation chain maps to show how discussion spread.

I think Google Plus has some feature where you can give it a link or post and see the responses and reposts as a graph/map. We could basically replicate that except across the entire web.

Garbee: I'm also very interested in the idea of a microformats search engine... something that crawls the web for especially for h-card so I can search for people just like I can on silo social networks
