tantekInteresting criticism of Tumblr - especially reagarding comment handling: http://blog.dearcoquette.com/coke-talk-of-the-day-76/ - particularly interesting in that we've often held-up Tumblr as an example of good/simple blogging service UX.
M-keganWithout rehashing the fundamental disagreement I have with discovery, why do we even have types at all? iirc it was for Aaron's use case of "searching for types of posts". Why can't these searches be based on the content (keys) instead?
M-keganI think there was also a case for supporting other formats which demand a type is specified too, which then feels like an impedance mismatch between all the formats
[shaners]!tell Tantek. Weird. Its not not there now. I think there was a ghost in my machine and I was seeing an older note in my RSS reader somehow. Then it wasn't on to of your homepage. Thus the confusion. Never mind!
tantek!tell shaners btw speaking of your inspired by example, assuming you did link to your inspiration for your mixtapes, you may want to consider some sort of NSFW warning, which we could document too.

[shaners]I will happily (start to) label things in the channel as nsfw in the future (or try to avoid posting it in here altogether). But I’m not at all interested in labeling things on my site as nsfw.
tantekshaners - cool - yeah I think that's probably a good policy for the channel - I think people do expect to check it at work - also curious if you think it has implications for /code-of-conduct etc. (safe space and all that)
[shaners]tantek: I kinda forgot about the rest of CQ’s homepage when I linked to her Mixtapes section. (And other people’s filter for what’s "work safe”). But I’ll pay more attention to that.
