petermolnar !tell GWG I'm testing a shorturl idea: base 36 (0-9a-z) or base 62 (0-9a-zA-Z) translations of the post publish date epoch format, stored as post meta with key of _wp_old_slug, so the internal redirect functions can pick it up; working quite reliably and fast so far. Do you think it's worth putting it into a plugin?
