kbs yes - I saw your comments on the fad for bots in the weblog from a few days back :) fwiw, he seems to be making a few somewhat orthogonal points in his post. a) as you say, it's rich responses rather than bots b) why not just have the metaphor entirely be a stream; where individual entries are rich, but have a consistent way to manage notifications across sources
