tantek kylewm re: "it could be discouraging for a new person" I'm going to go out on a limb and state (openly, which is the risky thing) that 1) only certain people will even find the antipatterns/database/jsdr/XMLfeeds stuff, and 2) the people that strongly respond negatively to such unconventional plumbing points (with data) are actually not the people you want in a user-centric community
