cmal we were more precisely talking about using PGP signatures as auto-validation mechanisms for webmentions (if remote user PGP key is already locally cached and hasn't been revoked and the content of the source of the webmention is provided with a valid signature, then there's not necessarily a need to parse the source of the webmention)
