petermolnar a long while ago there was a php-based custom cms site, which listed "events" as well. the interface was dead simple, flat, at max. reply-to marked, paged discussion + some event description. Someone posted a going, the rest replied by adding themselves to the list and adding it back as a comment, so you ended up with a long list of people in the most recent comment.
