kbs problem - a small "thing-in-a-box" that works offline, and lets (e.g. in a multi-day boat trip/no general internet access) people have an easy-to-use message board, photo-sharing. Clients typically will be a phone. Would https://indieweb.org/UBOS the best fit here?
