#Loqidgold: [chrisaldrich] left you a message 8 hours, 33 minutes ago: For basic WordPress set up, try https://indieweb.org/Getting_Started_on_WordPress, there's also a link to other resources on that page within the wiki table
#Zegnatdgold, it is always morning when joining IRC
#LoqiUniversal Greeting Time is the convention of greeting people in online chat with "good morning" regardless of the local time of day of either person https://indieweb.org/UGT
#dgoldZegnat: oh, I know, just that it is Saturday - so time dims
#ZegnatOh, it is Saturday? :p My entire concept of time has been whacky since no longer having a day-job.

#GWGmiklb_: I'm starting to see what I can do with templates and the display code. I may ask you to install the branch to give me an opinion, if you are up for it, when I get to a certain point.
#Saltaaronpk, or someone else who might know, who was the photographer at IWS last year? I really liked an image they took and want to verify the licensing etc
#miklb_sweet. So far I only modified the quote kind view, but will probably want to tweak a few others to start. I'll hold off until you get closer, plenty of to-dos on my list to keep me busy :-)
#dgold[chrisaldrich]: I think I'll leave that for down the line
#[chrisaldrich]dgold, If you haven't come across the idea of a child theme, you should consider one as any updates to the base theme that you do, your manual updates will be overwritten
#[chrisaldrich]dgold, I hadn't used it for a long time, but this past week decided to quite moderating my comments (or at least moderate them after the fact)
#[chrisaldrich]let us know if you have problems or questions following any of the parts, we're continually updating it to help make things easier for future /generations
#[chrisaldrich]GWG, sorry I missed you last night. Like I am at the moment, I just stopped in for a minute while reading through the logs.
#[chrisaldrich]thanks aaronpk! I love examples in the wild, and it would be nice to have more of them on wiki pages. It serves as social proof that people are behind indieweb philosophy even if they don't necessarily practice all the aspects.
#GWGI wanted to tell you I was working on duration
#miklb_dgold feel free to ping me in -dev with any specific code questions. I'm still weaving IndieWeb stuff into my site, but I'm pretty familiar with the underlying code
#[chrisaldrich]I think that most people who've gone through it IndieWebifying WordPress had at least some experience, so any feedback you can provide will be very helpful to others. But folks like I, GWG, and miklb are happy to help
#Zegnatdgold, I remembered Loqi got updated to parse the timezones, so I thought it would tell me your approx. location. Just couldn’t remember the question ;)
#kbsproblem - a small "thing-in-a-box" that works offline, and lets (e.g. in a multi-day boat trip/no general internet access) people have an easy-to-use message board, photo-sharing. Clients typically will be a phone. Would https://indieweb.org/UBOS the best fit here?
#bearmy first thought would be to check if UBOS offered DHCP/DNS and some of the other hidden-but-required items that people at home and on the phone get from their ISP
#sknebelUBOS (and nowadays most other self-hosted in a box things) reasonably integrate Let's Encrypt for certs. that's not going to work offline, or at least not gueranteed (depends if you remembered to renew certs before you went offline ;))
#bearah - Byzantium is the other I was thinking of
