#jeremycherfasZegnat: I have two sites, one that was hosted at indiehosters, while I became more comfortable with SSL, and I want to import the old site into the new site.
#petermolnaraaronpk's karma is due to the fact that whatever indieweb idea you have aaron had done it 2-3years before you and has it documented
#jeremycherfasZegnat: Yes, that’s right. The import is very broken though, and I have no idea why. I just stopped after very few posts. I may try again, but I’m worried about creating massive duplicates of the few that it does import. And there’s no easy way to clean up that I can see.
#petermolnarjeremycherfas while it is true that I only described the high level approach, the code I used is here: https://github.com/petermolnar/nasg/blob/master/pesos.py - unfortunately I can't decouple it well enough from the rest of the static generator, so I decided not to recommend it yet
#petermolnarbtw, even though it's time consuming, I higly recommend to go through all the hoarded content for anyone, sometimes you find incredible stuff you've forgotten about
#sebselThere is a view, if you go to your profile, there is a gear-icon for a menu, and that one has an option 'Posts you like' (or something like that, I'm on Dutch)
#sebselBut I think that's a private view, no real public page-per-user
#sebselI can't find the same thing on the website, so I guess it's App-only
#Zegnatjeremycherfas, just read about the clammr sitedeath on your site. That data export wrangling is atrocious!

#jeremycherfasZegnat: I certainly will not be bothering. I tried Clammr three or four times and in the end decided it was completely useless for my purposes. Also, the duration limit on a piece was way too short.
#jeremycherfasStill waiting for really good ways to share bits of audio. I know HTML5 makes it possible, but that doesn’t mean it is easy. :)
#dgoldaaronpk: hi aaron - the docs for webmention.io talk about xmpp notifications - is that user-configurable, or is it only pertinent to self-hosted variant?
#petermolnaran interesting thing happened today: I asked a set designer friend where here portfolio is nowadays and she told me, quite proudly, that she has her own website now
#LoqiA bookmark (or linkblog) is a post that is primarily comprised of a URL, often title text from that URL, sometimes optional text describing, tagging, or quoting from its contents https://indieweb.org/bookmark
#[miklb]doesn’t seem to have a strong definition there either way.
#[miklb]I guess I personally wouldn’t store “read later” on my site.
#[miklb]but I do like the idea of having a “places to visit” list on my personal site ?

#[eddie]miklb: yeah, I thought it works for small one off things but could also be given tags for trips, so you could plan places for a trip
#aaronpkI've been wanting to do that as well, i have a few lists on foursquare that i use
#[eddie]I'm basically envisioning a Micropub app that would allow you to search places (maybe via Foursquare API) and bookmark an h-card similar to the OwnYourSwarm Micropub posts. In fact, that could also enable checkins outside of Swarm. So you could search and a place and either "Bookmark or Checkin". Add optional tags, etc.
#[eddie]Idk if that matches Foursquares terms or not. I'll have to investigate
