sknebel general consensus from a HWC organizers session was that the wiki is primarily community-internal documentation and has basically no outreach value for HWC (even if people stumble over it, they then also have to look at HWCs carefully enough to notice there is a local one, ...), to use whatever works locally and that by far the most effective thing is directly contacting/inviting people via e-mail, twitter or in person
