Zegnat sknebel and I have spoken about how often check-ins should be done for them to make sense. And people who were checking in to every train stop. But I totally get the usecase now! I've seen my GPS fail several times on the Berlin U-Bahn so I found myself checking in to at least the start and end stations so I would be able to recreate my trip.
