[miklb] you can certainly start your own CMS, but you may find you want to start with an existing CMS that has support or plugins for IndieWeb stuff

[miklb] or maybe you’d prefer a static site generator where there some prior art for doing IndieWeb stuff.

radiopetushki I am currently using jekyll, which I like a lot despite the docs being a little hard to get my head around

radiopetushki but i'd like to be able to post from mobile and when i don't have direct access to my server either

[miklb] I have a jekyll-indieweb theme that I’m actually working on converting to a Jekyll theme gem.

radiopetushki I am also really fond of micro.blog but alas did not come upon it until the window for registration closed

[miklb] There are tools to hook up Jekyll to micropub. I did that before I switched to WordPress. Micropub would give you option to post via mobile

[miklb] That would probably be it. Otherwise would need to install Known or WordPress on a server, or stick with the static site generator and maybe look at my Jekyll theme. Can be served from GitHub or commit to GH and deploy to your own server. Others can chime in with other static options.
