[markmhendrickso fwiw I agree that we shouldn't be trying to replace anything (aka fb, twitter) even if we incorporate a lot of existing UX, and i also think really good UX is important for this space (insofar as saying design quality should aspire to reach the level of existing, popular products or – gasp! – even exceed them)
