@miklb @FJdeKermadec As long as the content stays at the domain, the url of a micro service can be switched and nothing breaks. IndieWeb at its core just means own your content at your own domain, not DIY everything. (twitter.com/_/status/934434868594925570)

snarfed FJdeKermadec has a point though. feed URLs have long lives outside your site, so owning at least a redirect on your domain makes sense. and granary-demo.appspot.com is a particularly bad domain name :P

Zegnat [miklb] the problem is that not all readers will replace the URLs when they see a 301. So important to check, in case appspot ever stops redirecting and the feed dies.

@aaronpk @FJdeKermadec You're right. I just switched my Atom feed to be a local URL that redirects to Granary. The reason I don't want to generate my own XML feed is it's too hard to get right, especially with all the nontraditional content on my home page like checkins. #indieweb (twitter.com/_/status/934474799966863360)
