[mlopatka] Well (my opinion only) I’m glad that we are owning the blame and have moved forward with an apology, and as cweiske says, I dont think it would be possible to make a decent product without that capability

Zegnat They talk about pushing "an update to Firefox", but the way I understood this was that no such thing actually happened? It was literally installing the extension remotely into an existing Firefox? That's the real problem here imho. Auto update still gives a clear choice.

Zegnat I guess I am mostly sad that none of the things that were brought up alongside this about SHIELD, about forced telemetry settings in non-stable releases, and user consent in general, get a mention in that blogpost.
