OldManZeus How do you guys deal with the fire hose, rabbit hole, of the web? with silos its all sorted and filtered to your social profile. I find that surfing takes up so much time and find myself in so many dead ends.

jeremycherfas There's definitely something funny about file_put_contents(). Touch($path) creates and empty file. File_put_contents($path) fails. I suppose I better try fopen etc.

chrisaldrich !tell OldManZeus On your question about RSS feeds, you could try https://indieweb.org/planet#IndieWebCamp_Planet which lists an OPML file (hopefully WP friendly) that you could use for many of the regulars. There's also https://github.com/snarfed/indie-map/blob/master/crawl/domains.txt, but it would require some work to get feeds.
