[tantek] I get it for folks who don't have smartphones, yes we need free-ish indieweb solutions. However if you're paying for a smartphone, you're already making a discretionary decision far beyond what you "need", so it is reasonable to say hey, consider using a fraction of that cost to instead own your data on your own site. (nevermind setup/maintenance cost/complexity as we're making that easier / less costly every year)
