[tonz] @GWG: purging, yes, although I like to keep things available a longish time (say 6 weeks or so), as my posts referencing stuff usually have a certain gestation time. Agreed, it needs to be stored somewhere. I asked [jackjamieson] on Twitter if there’s a specific reason it is in wp_posts. I think many plugins put their stuff in wp_postmeta, but probably only possible if related to a post in wp_post?
