Does any IndieWeb Reader support live subscribing to / following a Twitter list? Or all the people's domains who are on a Twitter list? (so that when the Twitter list is updated, you automatically see stuff from the new people on it etc. in your IndieWeb reader)
#
[tantek]
I guess in Aperture terminology, that would be a "Live Channel" based on that Twitter list
#
aaronpk
you can do that via granary
#
aaronpk
granary can create a feed of the tweets of the people in that list, and you can subscribe to that in any reader
#
aaronpk
goes and does that
#
aaronpk
and done
#
[tantek]
Whoa what? That's cool! Any chance of documenting how to specifically do that like maybe on /2019 ?
#
[tantek]
as that slides into meta, so do I ...
#
aaronpk
tho at this point it's even easier if i re-host that feed as a web page like https://stream.indieweb.org
#
aaronpk
then anyone can just subscribe to that page, no API key fiddling

#
jacky
oh that's an actually page
#
jacky
lmfao
#
[tantek]
starting to have flashbacks to Yahoo pipes
#
aaronpk
this also means i can add ppls actual websites
#
aaronpk
so that it's not just twitter

Aaronpk has 34 karma in this channel over the last year (238 in all channels)
#
gRegorLove
Yeah I was hesitant about subscribing to a Twitter granary feed since it has the API key in the URL, iirc
#
aaronpk
it's not that bad, only granary can use the API key anyway
#
gRegorLove
even with the access_token_secret?
#
aaronpk
yeah, it still requires the bridgy API keys
#
gRegorLove
Good to know

a little bit more markup on https://2019.indieweb.org/summit and readers could subscribe to it directly.
#
aaronpk
What’s missing? That’s supposed to be the point
#
aaronpk
feel free to file issues on monocle for that
#
aaronpk
Oops I misread. But still plz file issues on the 2019 site!
#
mblaney
ha yeah wasn't sure how to answer that :-)
#
GWG
Hi, mblaney
#
mblaney
ok I'm happy to add it, just needs an h-feed and then an h-card for each rsvp.
#
mblaney
hi GWG
#

in case anyone was interested, I’m working on new version of the Jekyll-Indieweb. This time as a Jekyll theme that you can just point your jekyll repo at without having to clone and edit theme files, thus losing any upstream work.

What are tags?
#
Loqi
tags or tagging refers to categorizing or labeling content, your own or others (tag-reply), with words, phrases, names, or other information, optionally linked to specific people, events, locations, such as the practice of tagging posts being about certain people (person-tag), like tagging people or other items where (area-tag) they're depicted in a photo https://indieweb.org/tags
#
Loqi
ok, I added "https://www.wired.com/story/archive-of-our-own-fans-better-than-tech-organizing-information/" to the "See Also" section of /tags https://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=62304&oldid=60007

Ludi Price wrote her whole dissertation about fan information behavior & created a model: https://blogs.city.ac.uk/ludiprice/2019/01/30/a-model-of-fan-information-behaviour/ Not sure it's indieweb enough to merit inclusion in the wiki, but definitely related to the Wired article.
