#
petermolnar
alternative I'm doing something wrong
#
petermolnar
even the .jf2 returns html
#
petermolnar
false alarm, I think it was regular pingback spam, and webmention.io already dealt with it; I still received the webhook though
#
petermolnar
but the html vs json is real

might be because I'm checking it in the browser though

Hm you shouldn't have gotten the webhook tho, that's weird
#

aaronpk what are you using for spam filtering behind webmention.io? I'm curious.
#
aaronpk
There isn't any
#
aaronpk
It verifies the webmention/pingback but that's it

Have anybody ever seen an Indieweb blog with support for changing themes per-user? So every user could view my blog in their preferred theme (from a hand-picked selection)

kisik21: [eddie] left you a message on 2019-05-12 at 2:44am UTC: my private posts exist but people don’t have full access to them. But yes, in my websites current implementation a user can see who has access to that post

kisik21: [eddie] left you a message on 2019-05-12 at 2:50am UTC: at IWC this weekend they discussed private UIs and I see this in the notes. Looks like I’m gonna have to catch up on that session: “Do not share information about who a post is shared with, apart from the person reading it.

kisik21: sebsel left you a message on 2019-05-12 at 6:27am UTC: This is one of the things we talked about yesterday in the private post UI session. I hope the notes are good enough, but I might blog about some things I remember. Also: private posts are being figured out so there is no ‘correct’ answer
#
kisik21
oh wow such an information dump
#
petermolnar
kisik21: I made an auto theme switcher based on OS theme preference. If it's not the default it stores the choice in localstorage in the user's browser (and asks their permission in an alert)
#
kisik21
petermolnar: Dark/light theme I suppose?
#
petermolnar
https://petermolnar.net/ -> top bar. Only shows when JS is enabled.
#
kisik21
I think my version won't need JS support :3
#
petermolnar
mine is a static site, I don't do cookies or server side db.
#
petermolnar
also, without JS, it's very hard to offer both automated and by hand theme choices
#
petermolnar
not impossible, because you can serve different CSS media queries based on cookie data
#
petermolnar
this is becoming -dev, isn't it?
#
kisik21
Indeed it does.

Yes. I would want to join a remote one. EU timings are a bit better for me...

This is something I have trouble keeping up with, where and when locally something was created, especially with photos without geo data and potentially forgotten timezone swaps in them.
