[tonz] [tantek] logical question. the diff to me is contract suggests something enforcable and something to trade (I’ll do this, if you do that), needs two or more parties. The techpledge is like the hippocratic oath, a set of declared ethics an individual professional says to adhere to. Likewise unenforcable as the contract but that doesn’t matter, as it’s meant as a personal tool. Something to use as reference/litmus test for one’s own reflection

[tonz] the source of rationale (and a steadying hand in your back) when declaring (unpopular) decisions. Like the hippocratic oath it will be hard to adhere to sometimes, it will hurt sometimes to stand up for what it says. That’s ok, that’s a sign it’s not opportunistic.

zzyyxxww[m] Then, I searched it with millionshort.com and started blocking all these garbage SEO hungry sites.

zzyyxxww[m] so I started blocking them one by one, and after several blocks, the post of his personal blog showed up on the first page.
