[snarfed]syndicating from your site to mastodon (or backward) seems fine, just like another silo. federating seems even better, and we have great examples of that: p3k, pfefferle's wordpress plugin, bridgy fed, etc. more discussion and stats on those in #indieweb-wordpress recently
