[jgmac1106] overwrote his site trying GitHub Actions...and lost his kids blog...does an overnight local backup now...still need to go and add all the media to the restoration

[jgmac1106] when I first tried the ftp deploy I didn't remove the delete function....erased everythign...I didn't realize it until remote backups copied the blank folders

petermolnar since I moved my services to my home server I changed my backup approach: zfs snapshots from server ssd to storage zfs raid1 + external usb drive manually synced once a month then put in a fire/waterproof safe as archive

petermolnar tough I have considered running a full site/db/email mirror on an rpi, just in case

joshghent Haha I like belgium for that, they just get on with it. I can imagine it's quite, it is here in the UK too. Likewise, been a home worker for 6 months now so fairly in the swing of things, providing assistance to first time work from home people.
