#LoqiTo read or reading is the act of viewing and interpreting posts or other documents; on the IndieWeb, a read post expresses that something has been read, like a book or section thereof https://indieweb.org/personal_library
#[tantek]oh that needs some gardening, heading to meta
#[tantek]on a different topic, has anyone proposed pronouns as TLDs, so you could literally have your domain be your name . your pronoun ?
#[tantek]like tlds for .he .she .they to start with
#[tantek]seems like it would be a good fit for IndieWeb sites
#[tantek]and normalizing your pronoun as part of identity / identifying
#[tantek]you could get more than one if you want too
#[tantek]it's English centric but then so are most of the new silly TLDs anyway like .party .social etc.

#[jgmac1106]tantek it is a specific referral to the practice Trump and the National Enquirer used to hide patterns of sexual abuse
#[jgmac1106]He paid the media to buy rights to stories and then never publish them...is it a metaphor I am not sure....sexual violence has killed millions...but is about a story...so yes
#[tantek]seems like a bad metaphor to amplify / propagate
#[jgmac1106]I just know members of the wikimedia team have been fighting for journalistic integregity in response..it was too inside a reference for min chat..apologies to all
#[jgmac1106]it is something to fight against...if I had my way all NDAs and rights regarding any kind of sexual realtionship consensual or non could never be bound by NDA except in victims of rape and incest
#[jgmac1106]makes you wonder is the anger righteous enough to deserve violent metaphors....
#[jgmac1106]probably a play on the fishing "catch and release"
#[chrisaldrich]Hello fat finger... Our friend Max Böck mxb.dev has created an interesting new site to focus on whimsical websites: https://whimsical.club/
#[chrisaldrich]Has anyone ever considered building an email extension of the Webmention specification?
#[chrisaldrich]By that I mean, a sender attempts to send a mention and if there is no endpoint or the send fails, then as a back up, the sender parses the receiving site's page for an h-card and if an email address exists, sends an email notification there instead?
#[chrisaldrich]Might be helpful for those who don't yet have Webmention set up, but could act as a backup. Then when they have things working later, they could force manual mentions to recollect them? Also useful for those who'd like notifications, but don't want to build infrastructure or who might not want to show comments on their site either.

#[fluffy]It seems unlikely to me that someone would have an h-card but wouldn’t have the link to webmention.io
#[fluffy]And with wmio someone could have a webhook send an email
