#[jgmac1106]I mean but if you want to have a site up, live viva la google, don't care about HTML and want to be able to link all your docs and phots to a website Google sites is so good....
#[jgmac1106]till you want to move and you look at source code...I have never done a Google Takeout of a Google Site..I do wonder if that spits out HTML...I knwo view source does not
#[jgmac1106]and I am bias against any website that isn't human readable when I click view source

#[fluffy]Google owns Blogger, which I’m really surprised they didn’t kill off as part of the Google+ Replaces The Web brainworm.
#jackyI truly wonder if that's because so many teams use it internally and don't wanna migrate it so they've managed to make a 'business' case for it lol
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "Google Sites" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Google Sites is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#[tantek][fluffy] I think they kept Blogger because they literally had so many external facing dependencies on it that they couldn't figure out how to transition (or the cost to transition to was too high)

#[tantek][jgmac1106] ^^^ could you attempt a minimal dfn of "Google Sites is ..." based on your experience? And maybe add that site you built as an IndieWeb Example?
