donthurtme: How about trying to replicate the Wikipedia page for Philosophy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy ? I don't think anyone would object to that as an exercise. It's somewhat complex, so maybe pick a few basic design elements to start with (sidebar, top menu, main body) and then once the layout looks about right, add in more detail.
#
[Raphael_Luckom]
or try to think of a _different_ way it could look, and implement it that way, that would also be cool

Yes I use Indigenous for Android
reed joined the channel
#
reed
doe it work for you [Jan_Lukas_Else]? on mine it started showing an error I can't read, something about a token not being valid https://github.com/swentel/indigenous-android/issues/411
#
Loqi
[smaffulli] #411 Creating a repost fails with 403 unreadable message
#
reed
first, it gave that 403 error (unreadable) then when I try to add my wordpress account again, it fails with that token thing
#
[Jan_Lukas_Else]
That probably has to do with your IndieAuth endpoint. I don't use WordPress for indieweb, so can't say anything about that.
#
reed
I tried setting up Indiegenous on iOS and there the error is different: it complains about a borked ssl certificate on indiegenous.abode.pub
#
reed
[Jan_Lukas_Else]: I can authenticate correctly with indieauth on bridgy and other services
#
reed
https://indigenous.abode.pub/ expired certificate ... why is indiegenous going there?
#
reed
[Jan_Lukas_Else]: how do you use it?
#
[Jan_Lukas_Else]
I use my own IndieAuth implementation and with that it works. But it also worked with IndieAuth.com
#
jacky
reed: there's a chance your authorization endpoint
#
jacky
that's to be expected
#
jacky
I usually log out and log back in (I do that like once ~3 months so it doesn't bug me)
#
jacky
but I can see a case for refreshing a token!
#
reed
how can I refresh the token?
#
reed
i can't see the full error message, I don't even know what service is throwing off the app
#
jacky
you can't - the app has to do it
#
jacky
logging out of Indigineous and logging back in should work
#
reed
I am logged out
#
jacky
https://github.com/swentel/indigenous-android/issues/412 also might be related if you're just now logging in
#
jacky
ah then it might be this
#
Loqi
[smaffulli] #412 Expired certificate on https://indigenous.abode.pub/
#
jacky
the site's certificate expired so most devices will freak out
#
reed
yep, I just filed that :)
#
jacky
!tell swentel please check out https://github.com/swentel/indigenous-android/issues/412 when you have time
#
Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next
#

ah when hello then lol

reed
goes to read how indieauth works...
#
sebbu
i should read (and implement) indieauth too
#
reed
i was reading the w3.org version, thanks jacky
#
sebbu
yeah, from what i read i just have to make an homepage with rel="me" links and add my site on my profiles
#
reed
I don't understand why indiegenous app needs to go through abode.pub when I'm authenticating to my indieauth server maffulli.net
#
GWG
reed: It's the application. Your endpoint is what the application is using to verify your identity
#
reed
GWG: I'm not following... the application you refer to is Indiegenous, right?
#
reed
so application -> maffulli.net (the server, in indieauth terms) -> ? what happens next?
#
GWG
reed: Correct. So Indigenous needs an identity.. it's URL. To identify it as an application
#
reed
oh, right
#
GWG
So you try to authorize yourself...the application asks your site where it can verify your identity.
#
GWG
So it goes to your IndieAuth endpoint.
#
reed
and my indieauth endpoint asks the app "who are you?" and the app responds with a borked SSL
#
sebbu
i wonder if there's a limit to the number of certificates you can put in an SNI certificate
#
sebbu
(lots of users with their own ssl cert on a single shared hoster with a single ip)
#
GWG
reed: I am sure swentel will renew when he sees the issue

reed: Trust is important

!tell [eddie] seems like the cert for indigenous.abode.pub has expired again. any change you can renew it? (and cron it?)
#
Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next
#
[schmarty]
for what it's worth, i think Indigenous the app needs indigenous.abode.pub to work for another IndieAuth step, but that's #indieweb-dev talk

This may be a silly question... Is there a way to not show my username at the top of my profile page? For technical reasons I have to have `www.` as part of my domain, so my username is fugly: `Www.unidented.org`
