[schmarty]pauloptinto[m]: which Beaker P2P microblog are you referring to? i briefly played with the Fritter demo on Beaker a year or more ago. to my recollection the social / blogging tools that were going to ship with Beaker v1.0 were removed in favor of developing them separately.
[timothy_chambe]Over at this #mastodev discussion about IndieAuth and Mastodon, Boris shows interest. I replied with basically a distillation of what folks here said and here is his thoughts:
[snarfed][timothy_chambe] thanks for engaging him! i think was right earlier in the thread, though. bolting IndieAuth onto Mastodon, in either direction, is a pretty peripheral way to integrate the two
[snarfed]webmentions + mf2 are arguably a much more core part of the IndieWeb spirit, so if we can keep pushing on that integration, whether IndieWeb sites talking AP or AP services talking webmention+mf2, that’s probably more meaningful
[tantek]also remember the history that various folks pushed back on adding even "just" webmention sending to mastodon because of wanting to *reduce* discoverability. which is a social issue more than a technical issue
