# [tantek] IMO the 3D rendering aspects of the "metaverse" are kinda the least technically interesting piece, or rather, the piece that gaming companies have already solved many times over. Doom, Unreal engine etc. The network and protocol pieces are the interesting bits, and making the 3D rendering work with a dynamically changing "map", with the data coming & going from a distributed set of sources (instead of "all in one database")
