#jackyso the way I'd _like_ to show up on my site would be some sort of descriptive text indicating who I intend the post to be read by (as a initial form) then evolve to lean on URLs either on my site or elsewhere that can help resolve who should be reading something (for example, if I was targeting the broader IndieWeb community, I'd probably point to either https://indieweb.org or https://indieweb.org/chat-names,)
#[aciccarello]Ah, interesting. I lean heavily on tags for that kind of stuff
#jackyyeah like I think I would too (I kinda passively hint at it via syndication targets - though I need to improve that)
#jackybut this would be my personal first setup before toying with "group posting" - by having a common audience to post towards, it could replicate a chain of posts

#[aciccarello]I've thought about ways to display posts other than "everything" and per post-type. For example, I like to post pictures. But I don't want a post showing a picture of something odd I saw to show up in my collection of more artistic photos.

#[aciccarello]Or with replies, I'd like to not show comments on my main feed but what if I want to comment on a post but also share that comment on my main feed. Would I have to post the reply and then have another share post to push that to the main feed?
#sknebelbeen meaning to make it a hidden thing (i.e. right now you can browse the category of "things excluded from main feed", which isnt entirely the point :D), but same principle
#[aciccarello]Yeah, I've thought about having a "featured" or possibly "gallery" tag for photos. I need to think more about how do add such an option without making it more of a pain to post.

#[chrisaldrich]For those interested in the ideas of annotations, inline footnotes, expandable text, additional context, stretch text, hovercards, etc., Nicky Case has recently released a new project called Nutshell https://ncase.me/nutshell/ which has some fun user interface as well as code with which to play.
