[KevinMarks] the phrase "Universal Outbox" makes more sense because it is an obvious complement to "Universal Inbox", and the "outbox" has-it-sent-yet distinction with "sent box" doesn’t matter from the perspective of the use-cases therein

I don't know if it is my inexperience with a lot of email beyond sending but I really struggled to understand the concept of an Outbox.

I know it predates email, but I couldn't make a connection between "Universal Outbox" and its purpose without _a lot_ of help here.
