[tantek] Do you have a citation for "Fediverse was started on 2008-07-02" either conceptually or the term being introduced? Wikipedia / fediverse just says 2008. And in particular, I remember back then with OStatus no one was using the term 'fediverse' – IIRC it didn't exist as a term until early 2010s at best.
