It seems like the spirit of PASTA, but in my case it's not only on silos (and my own site), but also in a private back up archive. Having it on a silo generally makes it public by default. The archive is the only portion which is private, which my paper back up is.

As part of the Bluesky announcement, they've apparently added in feeds so you can add accounts to your favorite social reader.
#
[chrisaldrich]
And of course someone has already created a tool for following your account timeline with social readers: https://bluesky-atom.appspot.com/ [snarfed]++

It's probably not a coincidence that shortly after Threads enabled following (some) accounts from Masto/AP accounts, that days later Bluesky opened this up
#
[chrisaldrich]
I love that it feels like there's some competition in the social space to open up like this...
#
[chrisaldrich]
Just ran across a http://micro.blog social reader (app): https://lillihub.com/ What an interesting and different view into the service.
#
[snarfed]
[tantek] understandable thought but in this instance the timing probably is a coincidence. it's been on their roadmap for a long time, publicly, including the sequencing

[chrisaldrich] Interesting, that app uses the Deno JS runtime. I've been playing around with Deno but rarely see it used.

I'd bet it's more the other way around - Meta knew BlueSky was opening up soon and crunched to get something out first.

random #lazyweb wish: that the "How to" section on https://indieweb.org/POSSE had a micro.blog section.
#
[tantek]
peterkaminski, you can contribute such lazywiki requests to the wiki page itself from here in chat!

a post that links to POSSE, and a list of where "the socials" are today. Comments welcome! (Someday I'll have webmentions and other ways to be more welcoming to comments, but not yet.) [https://peterkaminski.wiki/social_media_is_fractured Social Media Is Fractured]

what is micro.blog?
#
Loqi
Micro.blog is a social web site & posting service started by Manton Reece with built-in support for using your own domain and other IndieWeb building-blocks, ActivityPub/Mastodon, and POSSEing to many services such as Tumblr, Medium, Flickr, and Bluesky https://indieweb.org/Micro.blog

sknebel
asking for things that look like urls from slack doesnt work
#
[chrisaldrich]
The alternate question peterkaminski is, what does the /micro.blog page have on /POSSE?
#
[chrisaldrich]
Good to know that Loqi isn't just ignoring me...

One can now relatively easily use various tools in combination with artificial intelligence-based voices and reading to convert large corpuses of text into audiobooks, podcasts or other spoken media. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7142905086325780480/

Is anyone else creating podcasts out of their own website content this way? ^^ Seems particularly interesting with respect to longer content like /articles.

what is endurain
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "endurain" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "endurain is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[jacky]
https://github.com/joaovitoriasilva/endurain looks like a way to self-host something like fitbit/strava
