[Murray] [gRegorLove] just a thought on whether the author controls the feed: I feel like this is increasingly not necessarily the case. The feed reader I use (and they're far from alone here) uses explicit feeds (e.g. RSS) for initial discovery and then as a fallback. Most of the content I see has actually been scraped by their bots. I don't love this strategy, but I do understand why it exists. And it also very much adds an interactive layer on top,
