[tantek] with the discussion of publics and context-collapse, it made me wonder what if commenters on posts had explicit options? e.g. many times I’ve wanted to leave a comment on a post only for the author and had no desire to engage in a longer/public discussion. or sometimes I would like to make a comment that is only visible to the author and friends. or maybe I'm ok with making a public comment on a post, but I don't want it "going elsewhere" e.g.
